Just a few details about the PCT

  • The southern terminus of the Pacific Crest Trail is on the U.S. border with Mexico, just south of Campo, CA.  Its northern terminus is on the Canada-US border on the edge of Manning Park in British Columbia.
  • The trail spans 2650 miles, give or take a few miles for reroutes and trail closures.
  • It traverses 5 national monuments, 5 state parks, 7 BLM field offices, 25 national forests units, 48 wilderness areas and 6 national parks.
  • Forester Pass (CA) is the highest point at 13,153 ft.
  • Lowest point is Cascade Locks, Oregon at 140ft just above sea level.
  • The trail crosses over 57 mountain passes, dips into 19 major canyons and rolls along more than 1,000 lakes.
